Bhajaniche Thalippeth

Ingredients

Bhajani (flour of roasted pulses) 2 cup, 1 cup onion finely chopped, 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1/2 tbsp cumin powder, 1/2 tbsp chilli powder, pinch of termeric, pinch of asafoetida(hing), approx. one and half cup water.

How to make

  • In a mixing bowl, mix  bhajani, chopped onion, cumin powder, coriander powder, chili powder, termeric. hing.
  • Gradually add water.
  • Knead the dough, not too dry not too soggy.(make the dough as shown in picture)
  • Make 4 balls out of the dough.
  • Now heat the skillet/tava.
  • Add little oil and start with one ball at a time.
  • Pat evenly ball shaped dough (thalipeeth) with the finger tips on theskillet.
  • Dip hand in water in between, if it is not spreading properly.
  • Make 5-6 random holes all over thalipeeth and put drop of oil in each hole.
  • Cover it for 2-3 min till it gets cooked.
  • Remove the lid and flip it.
  • Cook till it becomes crispy, brown on both sides.
  • Serv hot with yogurt or homemade butter.

Ø Work on medium heat through out.
