Ravyache Thalipeeth/spicy Semolina Pancake

Ingredients                                       serving size-2

1 cups rava(semolina), ½ cup rice flour, ¼ cup besan(gram flou()optional)

4 green chilies chopped, ginger minced, coriander, ½ cup fresh grated coconut, curry leaves,1onlion chopped, oil for frying, 2 cups of water/ buttermilk.

How to make

  • Roast rava, besan separately.
  • In a mixing bowl, mix rava, rice flour and besan.
  • Add to this green chilies, ginger, coconut, coriander, onion, curry leaves.
  • Add water and mix it well.
  • batter is ready.
  • Keep aside for 20 min.
  • Now heat tava/skillet and add oil.
  • Take small portion of batter and spread it evenly in circular shape by hand.
  • Cover it for few minutes and let it cook.
  • Now flip it and cook till it becomes crisp on both side.
  • It makes good breakfast item.
  • Enjoy it with chutney of your choice and yogurt.

Tips

  • Roast rava, besan and add rice flour and store in a bottle so that it can be used anytime to make instant thalipeeth..
