Phodnicha Bhat/Leftover Rice Recipe

Ingredients

Leftover rice, 3-4 green chilies chopped, 1 medium size onion chopped, coriander leaves to garnish, 3-4 curry leaves, pinch of mustard and cumin seeds, 4 tbsp oil, pinch of turmeric, salt to taste, sugar (optional)

How to make

  • Mix salt in leftover rice.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard, cumin seeds.
  • Put green chilies and curry leaves.
  • Add chopped onion and fry till onion turns pink.
  • Now add pinch of turmeric.
  • Add rice.
  • Mix the content.
  • Turn off the heat.
  • Garnish with coriander and serve hot with papad and pickle.
