Besan Ladoo
Ingredients
4 cups besan ladoo flour ( coarse gram flour specially available in Indian grocery store), 2 cups sugar (powdered/pithisakhar ), 1 cup ghee(clarified butter), ½ cup warm milk, 1 tbsp nutmeg powder(jaifal), 1 tbsp cardamom powder raisins, nuts (optional)
How to make
- In thick bottom pan, heat ghee and add besan.
- Mix and roast the mixture till smell of roasted besan comes.
- At this point mixture turns reddish in color and ghee can be seen at the edges of pan.
- Turn of the gas and add milk and mix it well.
- When mixture is warm, add sugar, cardamom powder, nutmeg powder (jaifal) and nuts.
- Mix everything by hand.
- Start making round shape medium size ladoo
- Store in a airtight container
