Narlachi Chutney/Coconut Chutney
Ingredients
Grated fresh coconut 1 cup, 1/4 cup fried yellow gram (chana dal), 6 green chilies, salt to taste, coariander leaves
for tempering(tadka): pinch of mustard seeds, 1tbsp black lentil (split)(udad dal), 4-5 curry leaves, 2-3 tbsp oil, pinch of asfoetida(hing)
How to make
- Put grated coconut, fried yellow gram(chana dal), green chilies, and salt in a blender.
- Make a fine paste.
- Transfer the whole content in suitable container.
- Now heat oil in a small pan.
- Add mustad seeds, udad dal, curry leaves and pinch of asfoetida(hing)
- Turn off the heat after 2-3 min. and pour the this tadka on the top of previously made paste.
- Here is your coconut chutney is ready to serv.
- Chutney goes well with almost anything like, idly, uttapam, dosa, amboli
